UCLan’s multi-award-winning Lancashire Science Festival enters its eighth year in 2019. This successful three-day event consistently attracts thousands of visitors from across the North West, with a total reach in 2018 of over 20,000 people.
Help amaze, inspire, enthuse and engage the future generation of thinkers in all things Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths (STEM) and get involved. Our aim is for young visitors to leave filled with the wonders of all the amazing opportunities that are open to them.
Corporate social responsibility (CSR)
By supporting the festival you will be helping to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and inventors. The festival is free of charge through the support of our sponsors and in-kind supporters. We reach a diverse audience and supporting the festival will not only help inspire the workforce of tomorrow but promote social mobility across the region.
The festival has an extensive reach through visitors, social media and press exposure. We reached over 13,000 people through the 3-day festival in 2018. We reached an additional 6,700 secondary school students through our roadshows, which saw festival shows and lectures touring secondary schools across Lancashire. Our festival website traffic sees 22,000 hits per year and our social media had 2.3 million impressions, with 620,000 accounts engaged in 2018. The media reach of the festival in 2018 was an estimated 776,000 through coverage on BBC North West Tonight, BBC Radio Lancashire and regional press.
How can I sponsor the festival?
There are three levels of financial sponsorship to choose from; alternatively, we would be happy to design a bespoke sponsorship package to fit your requirements.
